I suppose one of the only things that I remember is being drunk a lot of times and traveling to the various countries. Oh! and then there were the maneuvers, some of them the same time every year. I guess this was to keep the Russians on their toes.
Yes, the good old Russian spies. They drove around our installations, hardly obvious, License Plate read SOXMIS. These guys were the representatives of the fallen Russians from the WWII. What a crock of shit... I only saw one and did my duty to report the activity to the MPs.
It wasn't long and I grew to love Germany. The ancient cities, towns and hamlets they offered so much history. I was about to learn things and do things that I had never experienced before.
Who do you know that at the age of 20 was able to travel to Europe for 4 years experiencing the culture. It was overwhelming to say the least.
